Fox’s Bret Baier Has Some Words of Praise for One MSNBC Host
Would it surprise you to learn that people on Fox News and MSNBC kinda like each other? Rachel Maddow likes Shepard Smith and Chris Matthews thinks Megyn Kelly is great. Well, in an interview with The Daily Caller, Fox News anchor Bret Baier weighed in on his cable rivals and singled out one of them for a bit of praise.
Baier said there are some “interesting shows” on MSNBC and directed some kind words at Rachel Maddow. He said, “I think Rachel Maddow makes some good points sometimes. And I watch some of those commentaries she makes. But I do look at it not as a news product, but as an editorial, commentary show.”
That being said, Baier admitted he doesn’t really spend his time thinking about MSNBC. The Daily Caller’s Jamie Weinstein pointed out that the liberal cable network doesn’t have a straight news program led by an anchor that rivals Baier and Special Report, a point that Time Magazine’s Joe Klein recently expressed some agreement with.
