Fox’s Bret Baier Has ‘Sympathy’ for Al Sharpton’s Teleprompter Problems

As anyone who has watched PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton on MSNBC likely knows, sometimes has some issues reading his teleprompter. This week, the conservative Washington Free Beacon website put together a supercut of the worst moments titled “Al Sharpton Versus The Teleprompter: Volume 1.” Fox News’ Bret Baier took a few moments out of his show Friday evening to play some of it for his audience and express his “sympathy” for the man whose show airs opposite his on MSNBC.

“Reading from a teleprompter is not easy,” Baier said. “Trust me. Some days are worse than others. Occasionally my brain and my mouth are not synced up, I get a little tongue tied. I know it well. So I have sympathy for MSNBC host Al Sharpton in this teleprompter mangling montage.”

After showing clips that included Sharpton’s unique pronunciations of the names Sigourney Weaver and Sonia Sotomayor, Baier laughed and added, “I just feel for him, but it happens.”
