Fox News’ Neil Cavuto called Donald Trump “a little thin-skinned” in a segment today as he mentioned that Trump still “boycotts” his show.
He and Howard Kurtz were talking about Trump’s relationship with the press. Kurtz said that Trump “does make an extra effort” to win you over if you’re a more liberal or a more “Never Trump” reporter or media individual.
Cavuto said he thinks Trump is “a little thin-skinned” and revealed that the president-elect “still boycotts this show” (as, Cavuto noted, is his right).
He believes this goes back to when Cavuto invited Mitt Romney on to lay out his criticisms of Trump, though as Cavuto notes, he did push back by raising counterpoints that Trump himself would.
Kurtz didn’t dispute the idea that Trump is thin-skinned, but did say his recent actions show perhaps an earnest effort to have “diplomatic relations” with the press outlets he’s previously bashed.
