Fox News’ Bernard Goldberg reacted to President Obama hitting the media over Baltimore tonight by saying it’s not really the media’s fault for covering the destruction and burning of buildings by violent protesters.
In remarks earlier this week, the president said, “One burning building will be looped on television over and over and over again, and the thousands of demonstrators who did it the right way, I think, have been lost in the discussion.”
Goldberg told Bill O’Reilly tonight that it was more than just one building that was burned down, and it’s really unfair to blame the media for what’s happening. He said Obama and Baltimore officials don’t like the media coverage because they “understand how many Americans are perceiving those images.”
Goldberg said what happened to Freddie Gray is still up in the air, but it’s clear right now that “reporters didn’t start this fire.”
