Fox’s Gutfeld: Snowden Deserves Same Outrage as Nude Celeb Photo Hackers

Everyone agrees that what the nude celebrity photo hackers did is disgusting and horrible. On Fox News’ Outnumbered today, Greg Gutfeld couldn’t quite understand, however, why there isn’t equal outrage about Edward Snowden because “what he did made us all naked.”

Gutfeld seemed to make the argument that there’s a moral equivalence between people who specifically targeted celebrity iCloud accounts to access their nude photos and a whistleblower who sent information to journalists to make the public more aware of what the arguably most secretive government agency is doing.

Gutfeld made his argument thusly:

“If we are equally outraged about what was done to the celebrities, we should be equally outraged over what Edward Snowden did to the rest of us, for what he did made us all naked to our adversaries. By exposing our spy programs, he is as every bit as bad as an adolescent hacker.”
