For its 2015 “Power of Women” issue, Variety published a report identifying at least 50 women making a positive impact in New York by bringing attention to worthy causes using their immense clout. The only cable news personality included? Fox News anchor and reporter Harris Faulkner.
“Faulkner was hired as a journalist, but last year her boss and mentor Roger Ailes gave her a chance to showcase her personality as co-host of Fox News’ daily talkshow, ‘Outnumbered,'” the report stated. “Roger Ailes believes in me,” Faulkner was quoted as saying.
On her positivity and desire to make an impact, she told Variety, “There are 1,440 minutes in every day, so you’ve got 1,440 opportunities to make a positive difference each day. Own the very moment you’re in, and you will win.”
Also included on the list are Lady Gaga, Katie Couric, Gayle King, Madonna, Taylor Swift, Savannah Guthrie, Kelly Ripa, Norah O’Donnell, and Daily Show correspondents Samantha Bee and Jessica Williams.
