Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro is now reacting to the controversy that erupted last weekend after President Trump plugged her show before she called on Speaker Paul Ryan to step down.
To review: it’s possible that Trump tweeted the plug for her show after seeing a graphic about “stunning new details” that would be covered on her show about his wiretapping claims. However, the big opener of Pirro’s show was her calling on Ryan to step down as Speaker after the health care failure in the House. So people wondered if the president knew she was going to say all that.
Trump and Ryan spoke afterwards, and as Ryan explained this week, the president was “apologetic” about the whole thing.
TheWrap scored an interview with Pirro and asked her if there was any coordination between her and the president.
Her response, as they report, was “No! No! No! No!”
“In fact, I had just come from Maine — my daughter is getting married in Maine. I flew to D.C. and someone said, ‘The President tweeted your show. … I said, ‘He did not!,’” she laughed. “And then it was like, ‘Yeah, he did. And it was like, ‘Why?’”
We asked Pirro if she thinks Trump was just randomly plugging her show: “Yes,” she responded. “And that’s the God’s-honest truth.”
