White House legislative director Marc Short spoke with Fox News’ John Roberts this morning, and at one point he was asked about President Trump‘s tweeting habits.
Roberts said that there are certainly Republicans on the Hill who have gone on record saying they don’t like some of the President’s tweets. He asked Short, “Does he make your job more difficult with what he does?”
Short dismissed that and said Trump “knows he needs to get around the mainstream media,” touting how much they’ve been getting done even with the President’s tweets. (He also said that people didn’t like the tweeting during the campaign and Trump still won.)
This conversation took place before the President’s latest anti-CNN tweet featuring a video of him literally “fighting back” against the network.
