Fox’s Kirsten Powers: Obama Surrounds Himself with ‘Kool-Aid Drinkers’
While introducing a segment about how President Obama might be considering some replacements to his staff for the last two years of his presidency, Outnumbered host Kirsten Powers said the president tends to surround himself with “Kool-Aid drinkers” who defend all of his actions and never challenge him.
Powers said Obama himself is the real issue, not his staff, and rejected the notion that people like Secretary of State John Kerry are just weary of their current jobs. She also said the idea of Obama following Abraham Lincoln‘s lead by employing people who challenge him is not true.
“I think the President tends to surround himself with people who suck up to him,” Powers said. “He has a lot of Kool-Aid drinkers who think everything he does is right, and I think he needs to be able to have people there to confront him.”
