To recap: Last Wednesday, Imus interviewed The Five co-host Perino on his FBN show. A day later, on the same show, he called her a “no-talent loser” and indicated he took deep offense to her “attitude” during their interview.
A few hours later, Fox News and FBN host Cavuto appeared on the talk show, and almost immediately brought up Perino.
“I’m being a little careful here because depending on the Fox personality, it doesn’t always go well,” he told Imus.
“What’s the matter with you?” the host chuckled.
Unafraid to get right to it, Cavuto asked, “What happened with Dana?”
“Oh, she’s a jerk,” Imus responded. “She’s go to get over herself. Here’s the thing: I subscribe to what I learned from Tim Russert, who was a hero of
Cavuto expressed bewilderment at Imus’ anti-Perino rage, telling the radio talker that their Fox colleague “usually brings her A-game.”
“It was her C-game,” Imus shot back. “But it’s not a big deal.”
“But you’re making it a big deal,” Cavuto replied, “because you won’t let up.”
On Monday, Imus announced that his show will go off FBN starting May 29. Reports indicate the separation was amicable and occurred before the Perino spat ever happened.
