Fox’s Oliver North: ‘How Do You Spell Genocide? O-B-A-M-A’
Appearing on Fox’s On the Record Monday evening, Lt. Col. Oliver North railed against the Obama administration’s decision to allow 10,000 Syrian refugees into the United States, claiming that there will be ISIS operatives among the throngs of immigrants.
The former National Security Council staffer suggested that the White House’s refugee decision was, at least in part, prompted by guilt for having withdrawn from Iraq — a move North believes has led to the rise of the militant Islamic State.
“This is the is direct consequence of a failure of American leadership,” he told Greta Van Susteren, “and bringing them here to this country without vetting them is a very dangerous thing.”
Later in the segment, North went even further and suggested that the large presence of refugees — not just from Syria and Iraq, but from “Afghanistan, Libya, Lebanon, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Mali” — is a direct result of Obama policies.
“The threat of what we are going to face for a long time to come is about to be amplified if this administration continues its current policy,” he declared, concluding with this clearly incendiary remark: “How do you spell genocide? O-B-A-M-A.”
