Perino: ESPN’s Britt McHenry Shouldn’t Have Been Suspended, ‘Wasn’t on the Clock’
By now you’ve likely heard about ESPN reporter Britt McHenry‘s freakout at a towing attendant in which she got very angry and profane over her car reportedly being impounded. ESPN took swift action and suspended her for a week, but Fox News’ Dana Perino said today she was pretty surprised by that.
On The Five, all the hosts were very disturbed by McHenry’s behavior––Eric Bolling called it “kind of gross”––but Perino was mostly just “surprised” that she was suspended in the first place.
She said, “She wasn’t on the clock, she wasn’t working for them… It really had nothing to do with ESPN.”
Kimberly Guilfoyle pointed out McHenry may have had a morality clause in her contract.
