Fox’s Red Eye Mocks Puppy Bowl Outrage: Viewers Only Watch for ‘Violence and Savagery’

What’s even more morally reprehensible that watching the Super Bowl? According to the New Republic’s Ryan Kearney, it might just be watching the Puppy Bowl. Last night, Fox’s Red Eye examined the “dark side” of America’s cutest tradition.

After host Greg Gutfeld summed up Kearney’s critique of the event, which mostly focuses on whether it’s “humane” to force dozens of puppies to play football against each other, Buck Sexton broke the real scandal. “The even more important story, one not covered in the mainstream media, is that Barack Ibama is using the IRS to go after puppy contestants because he said it is a political activity banned under new IRS regulations.” He added, “Barack Obama, anti-puppy as well as hating America.”

“Apparently I am the only one, as usual, I did some research on this,” Andy Levy said. “64% of the players in the Puppy Bowl end up with severe long-term brain damage because of concussions. Animal Planet and its parent company Discovery Communication, they refuse to admit any culpability.” He lamented the fact that people tune in anyway. “They watch the Puppy Bowl for the violence, they watch it for the savagery,” he said. “The whole thing makes me sick.”
