Fox’s Special Report Received Primetime-Like Ratings at 6 PM for All of 2015

baierAs Fox News marked the seventh anniversary of Special Report with Bret Baier last week, it also touted 2015 as a big year for the 6 pm show in the ratings, getting numbers on par with its primetime shows.

In the past few months, Bret Baier has done very well against Fox’s own highly-rated primetime shows, even coming in first on occasion.

Over the course of 2015, Special Report averaged 2.1 million viewers and over 300,000 in the 25-54 demo. Naturally, it easily overtook its competition (CNN and MSNBC) not just in the 6 pm timeslot, but those networks’ primetime programming as well.

Special Report started on Fox News in 1998, anchored by Brit Hume until late 2008.
