Frequent Hannity Guest Bill Cunningham Sued for Alleged Anti-Muslim Discrimination
Conservative talk show host, and occasional Hannity guest, Bill Cunningham is reportedly being sued by a Muslim woman who attended one of his tapings wearing a traditional hijab and was asked to move out of the view of cameras. According to TMZ, which obtained a copy of the suit, Nicole Johnson is claiming she suffered “mental anguish and embarrassment” at the hands of the host.
Johnson was allegedly an audience member for a February taping of The Bill Cunningham Show, which airs daily on the CW network, and was initially seated in the front row before staff made her move to the back because she was wearing a religiously-required hijab. She also claims she was denied the chance to ask a question during the show.
Cunningham gained notoriety on the cable news scene last June when, during an appearance on Hannity, he told Fox News analyst Tamara Holder, “You shut up! Know your role and shut your mouth.”
A few months later, the two pundits faced off again. This time, when Cunningham called Holder a “Farrah Fawcett wannabe,” she shouted back, “Get your finger out of my face!”
