Jeff Roorda, from the St. Louis Police Officers Association, is a friend of Officer Darren Wilson‘s and defended him on CNN tonight from all the “inflammatory language” being used about him, including Michael Brown‘s family’s attorney Benjamin Crump.
Roorda said that Crump has “repeatedly use[d] caustic and inflammatory terms,” specifically citing him referring to Wilson as a “killer.” Wolf Blitzer asked, “He did kill this teenager, right?”
Roorda argued that framing it in that manner is incredibly unhelpful, especially for someone whose clients have been repeatedly and passionately calling for peace:
“Using that inflammatory language out of one side of your mouth and then saying you’re hoping for peaceful demonstrations out of the other is a bit disingenuous.”
