With more reporting that Gary Cohn is falling out of favor with President Trump, the White House economic advisor said on CNBC earlier today he has a “great relationship” with the President.
You’ll recall that Cohn criticized the President’s handling of Charlottesville, and since then there has been reporting that Trump has been getting steadily more frustrated with him.
Cohn said on Fox Business this morning he wants to be able to get tax cuts done, and on CNBC he was asked about whether the President “has confidence in the job you’re doing.”
“I have a great relationship with the President,” Cohn responded. “We’re working well together. We’ve spent an enormous amount of time this week working on taxes. We were out in Missouri talking about taxes. We spent time talking about taxes. We’re going to to be out next week traveling, talking about taxes. He and I are spending time working together on all of the big economic issues that are going to drive economic growth and drive wages in this country.”
