Geraldo Rivera Defends Trump from Negative Coverage: Nothing He Does Gets ‘Benefit of the Doubt’

Geraldo Rivera defended President Trump this morning as he talked about the POTUS having the “worst relationship” with the press and the other side he’s seen since Nixon.

“He does not get the benefit of the doubt for anything,” he told the Fox & Friends hosts. “Anything he does is construed in the most wicked, negative way possible.”

On Puerto Rico in particular, Rivera said that there was “an absolute 100 percent disconnect” between “how he was treated in Puerto Rico and then seeing the press about how he was treated in Puerto Rico.”

He said yesterday the Puerto Rico coverage has been “grotesquely unfair,” though he did ding the President a bit for some of his tweeting on the subject.
