Gingrich: ‘I’m Not Comfortable or Uncomfortable’ with Trump’s Putin Praise

gingrichNewt Gingrich attempted to brush off Donald Trump‘s praise of Vladimir Putin today on Fox News Sunday, as well as the comments from Trump and others in his sphere that Putin is a “stronger” leader than President Obama.

Gingrich told Chris Wallace Putin is certainly more effective than Obama has been. Wallace said, “You can’t be comfortable with this continued praise of Vladimir Putin.”

Gingrich said, “I’m not comfortable or uncomfortable with it.”

He also argued that “calling [Putin] names may not be the best strategy we have.”

“How could you not feel uncomfortable,” Congressman Xavier Becerra asked, “with a candidate for president praising Putin at the same time that he admonishes our generals, he criticizes our own troops, and he shames the families of American soldiers?”
