Rudy Giuliani was asked about Donald Trump‘s declarations of a rigged election today, and he instead went on a tangent complaining about media bias.
He told ABC News’ Martha Raddatz that the media may not believe this, but “you don’t really treat us the same way.” Giuliani pointed to how much more coverage Khizr Khan got than Benghazi mother Pat Smith (even though that was due to Trump escalating with the Khans).
He also claimed that the media has not been talking enough about Hillary Clinton‘s emails and the FBI’s damaging findings.
“I know the media always discounts this because you don’t like to get criticized,” Giuliani said, “but you don’t treat us the same way you treat Democrats. Hillary, Bill, Obama––they get the benefit of the doubt.”
He proceeded to bring up the incredibly false attack on Clinton––she said we “aren’t” going to raise taxes, Republicans have decided she said “are”––as evidence of such bias.
And no, Giuliani did not directly answer the question about Trump crying foul about a rigged election.
