GOP Rep. Explains Why He Said Spicer ‘Needs to Go’: He’s Not Serving Trump Well

Congressman Mike Coffman made some news last night in calling for White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer to step down.

Coffman said that Spicer “needs to go” at a town hall last night, in response to the uproar over Spicer’s Hitler gaffe at a press briefing this week.

CNN’s Erin Burnett spoke with Coffman tonight and he affirmed again tonight it’s time for Spicer to go:

“I don’t think he’s serving this president very well. I think when you have a spokesman or a press secretary that himself becomes the story more than once and deflects from what that job is about in terms of representing the White House, I think it is time for him to go. I just don’t believe he’s capable of doing the job at the level that it needs to be done.”
