Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger isn’t buying Donald Trump‘s argument that the Republican delegate system is “rigged” against him.
Kinzinger told Wolf Blitzer on CNN late this afternoon that he would “really like” John Kasich as the GOP nominee and could be “okay with” Ted Cruz, but has a “hard time getting to yes” on Trump.
Blitzer asked him if there’s any validity to Trump’s complaints about a rigged system. Kinzinger said, “If the process was rigged, you would not have Ted Cruz and Donald Trump as the two frontrunners of the Republican party right now, you’d have somebody else. It’s not rigged, it’s just the rules.”
He dismissed it as “whining” and suggested to Trump, “You probably could have gone on the internet and figured out what the rules are in each of the states.”
