Senator Bob Corker (R- TN), who you’ll remember recently announced he’s not seeking reelection, made some pretty tough comments regarding the current state of the White House on Wednesday.
Corker has stood by his criticisms over a lack of “competence” and stability from President Trump, and today he spoke to reporters following the NBC News report that Rex Tillerson called the President a “moron” and considered resigning.
Today Corker said, “I think Secretary Tillerson, Secretary [James] Mattis and Chief of Staff [John] Kelly are those people that help separate our country from chaos.”
He expressed his sympathy for Tillerson and said he’s “not being supported” in the way the Secretary of State should.
When asked about the “chaos” remark, Corker said they are pushing for “sound and coherent” policy, and others in the administration just don’t.
