Turning his attention away from the controversy-riddled Obamacare website rollout, Rush Limbaugh set his sights on Sen. John McCain‘s recent praise for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In a brief tirade against the Arizona Republican, Limbaugh became so enraged that he mockingly let out a growl.
Speaking at a Chicago event on Monday, McCain reportedly said that he believes “Secretary Clinton would be a very strong candidate.” He continued: “I think she would be viewed by anyone, Republican or Democrat, as a very formidable candidate for 2016.”
“You turn around and you call Ted Cruz a ‘wacko bird’, and you praise Hillary Clinton?” Limbaugh wondered aloud on Wednesday. “What in the name of Sam Hill? This is just sheer — I don’t know what it is. Idiocy? Stupidity? Blindness?”
At the conclusion of the heated rant against McCain, Limbaugh paused and growled in a voice mimicking the senator.
[Ed. note: This post has been updated to reflect that Limbaugh’s onomatopoeia was done in mockery of Sen. McCain.]
