Hannity Presses Roseanne Barr on Tweets, Mental Health in Marathon Interview: ‘Were You Drinking?’

Roseanne Barr appeared on Hannity Thursday night for a marathon interview — spanning his entire one hour show! — for which the host pressed her about drug and alcohol use, mental illnesses, and abuse.

The Fox News host managed to tease a quasi-apology out of the actress and comedian for the racist tweet she wrote that tanked her career, before asking her about her mental state when she sent out the tweet.

“You also did it at like 2:30 in the morning?” Hannity asked. Barr confirmed. “You were on Ambien?” he followed up.

“Yeah,” Barr replied. “Were you drinking?” he asked.

“Yeah I told you that,” she said. “It was Memorial Day, I had two beers.”

Barr denied that she gets drunk often, but said she “likes drinking.” “I have no tolerance,” she added.

Hannity went on to ask Barr about her previous claims that she had been sexually abused by her father and emotionally abused by her mother.

“Now I have a whole different view of that, I think I was emotionally abused,” she said. “Everybody’s in my whole family is messed up.”

“I have mental health issues,” she said, revealing to Hannity that she has been institutionalized “several times.”
