Hannity Slams Failed Senate Vote on Obamacare: ‘What Happened Last Night Was a Disgrace’
On Friday night, Sean Hannity ripped “Establishment Republicans” for their failed effort to repeal and replace Obamacare.
In his opening monologue, the Fox News host reiterated the “five biggest threats” to the nation, which include The Deep State, the “Destroy Trump Media,” Democrats, Establishment Republicans, and the Never Trumpers.
Hannity accused Democrats of being “giddy” that health care reform failed and that they sold the current health care system “under false and broken promises.”
“Remember the promise ‘Keep your doctor, your plan, save $2500 per year?” he asked. “Put that in the bin, scrap of history as one of the biggest lies ever told.”
He then shifted his criticisms to the Establishment Republicans.
“What happened last night was a disgrace.” Hannity continued. “They don’t want the president to succeed either. Look at the pathetic display from Senate Republicans this week. Seven years of promises and they couldn’t even pass the ‘skinny repeal’?”
He then singled out Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for his critical vote in killing the bill late last night.
“John McCain over and over and over again promising to repeal and replace, all the others that voted to repeal in 2015 and they couldn’t do it now?” he added.
He concluded that the “deck is stacked” against the Trump administration.
