Herman Cain Wins Nomination…For The Robert Goulet Memorial Mustache Award

CNN’s Erin Burnett sat down with GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain on her show, where the two engaged in the requisite discussion on Cain’s 9-9-9 plan and, of course, whether he is “the flavor of the month” or here to stay. He insists, of course, on the latter. “I am for real,” he told Burnett. “This is Herman Cain. They will know that I am in this to win it. I am not in this to try and raise my profile or get a TV show.”

Cain and Burnett also tackled the issues like affirmative action and how to deal with black Americans, specifically, who live in economically depressed areas (i.e. “empowerment zones”), as well as changes in foreign policy. The Cain Doctrine, as he explains it, is “Peace through Strength and Clarity,” and it would have big implications for Israel and Iran. As for China, Cain believes it is something “between a friend and a foe” for the United States, and that we would do well to “outgrow China:”

Now, the issue that’s been really captivating America where Herman Cain is concerned: Herman Cain has a mustache. And that mustache has gained him the endorsement of the American Mustache Institute, which has also placed him in the running for the Robert Goulet Memorial Award. And he could not possibly be more pleased or slightly confused by it:
