CNN’s Jake Tapper and almost all of his panel on State of the Union today criticized Donald Trump for his “Grievanceburg” address yesterday, but Jan Brewer came to his defense.
Tapper pointed to how despite Trump building up his big Gettysburg address yesterday, he opened with a 15-minute rant against the media and his accusers. He said, “This was an opportunity for him to… [make] a pitch to voters about things that matter to them and he started with a 15-minute rant about grievances that a self-described billionaire has. I’m, sorry people don’t feel bad for him.”
Brewer complained that Trump has “been waterboarded by these issues” and is just trying to defend himself.
The rest of the panel flipped out. Brewer argued that Trump just tells it like it is. Bob Kerrey shot back, “He does tell it like it is up in his head.”
Dana Loesch, meanwhile, said it “kills me” that Trump ruined an otherwise good speech by airing so many grievances.
