Homer and Marge Simpson Finally Address the Rumors

It all started when The Simpsons’ longtime executive producer Al Jean revealed in an interview that Homer and Marge Simpson would be “legally separating” on the upcoming 27th season of the show. Then, after fans collectively lost their minds, he was forced to clarify that this did not mean “divorce” and even then it would only last for “an episode or two.”

Well, apparently that, plus this much retweeted chalkboard message from Bart, was not enough to quell the anxiety.

On Friday, Homer and Marge came together in a new YouTube video intended to put the “baseless rumors” to rest for good. Under a banner that reads “Together Forever,” they explain that the story was first reported by CNN, “then the real news started reporting it all over the world.”

Meanwhile, Homer just wants “those news media guys” to cover more important stories, like “LeBron’s junk.”

Down on one knee, Homer asks, “Marge, sweetie, I hardly apologized for all my actions during this video about how much we love each other, can you forgive me?”
