House Intel Member Rep. Denny Heck Tells MSNBC ‘Walls are Closing in’ on Trump
On Saturday, House Intel Committee Member Rep. Denny Heck (D-WA) told MSNBC’s Alex Witt that “the walls are closing in” on President Donald Trump.
Witt started by asking Heck about the 2016 Trump Tower meeting and the allegations President Trump knew about the meeting in advance.
After acknowledging that he cannot confirm or deny the matter of Michael Cohen and Donald Trump Jr.‘s testimony in front of the committee due to his sensitive role, she asked, “but what are your thoughts on this?”
“So, I think the walls are closing in,” Heck replied. “This is yet another proof positive that the investigation is getting closer in many regards. The fact of the matter is this is Donald Trump’s worst nightmare because it’s not just this revelation or allegation because it’s yet to be corroborated but it’s the fact there are 99 additional tapes in addition to the one was revealed this week.”
He added that “we’re now beginning to inch into the territory of conspiracy [a federal crime]. And what’s the difference? well, collusion isn’t a federal crime.”
