When Netflix released the trailer for season three of House of Cards last month, it said the new episodes would be ready to binge on February 27. But there they are on the Netflix site more than two weeks ahead of schedule. As of this writing, it is unclear whether Netflix decided to intentionally release the season early or if it was an error.
We will update this post if we are able to get any more info.
UPDATE — 4:50 p.m. ET: And just like that, it was gone.
UPDATE — 5:03 p.m. ET: The official House of Cards Twitter account provided its best attempt an explanation, making this seem more and more like a massive (and brilliant) PR stunt…

But Netflix is telling CNBC, it was due to a “bug in the system”:
