The first match of the World Cup semi-finals is upon us, featuring France battling it out with neighbor Belgium at Krestovsky Stadium in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
France are favorites heading into the match, with an all-star attacking line boasting Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud.
That aside, there are indications this might be Belgium’s year. The country’s squad decimated Brazil in the first half of last week’s quarter final, with a brilliant Kevin De Bruyne smashing in a glorious goal, and an assist by the team’s absolute unit Romelu Lukaku. Eden Hazard isn’t shabby either.
We at Mediaite HQ are putting our Duvels behind Belgium, though shakily. France have had a seriously strong run this World Cup, and the country’s squad — don’t forget Pogba — is always dangerous.
The game kicks off at 2 p.m. EST. It will be broadcast on Fox in English, and Telemundo in Spanish. The game can be streamed online by visiting Fox’s World Cup Hub. It can also be streamed on mobile or tablet via the Fox Sports Go app, which can be downloaded in Apple’s app store and the Google Play store.
