Huckabee: I Would Have Imposed a Curfew in Ferguson

How would former Mike Huckabee have handled the unrest in Ferguson if were governor of Missouri? The former Arkansas governor told Fox & Friends Saturday that he would have imposed a midnight curfew in the city because “nothing good ever happens after midnight.”

“Why not a curfew?” Huckabee asked Saturday morning. “Have organized times to say we are going to have town halls, we’re going to let you get this out of your system, we want you to vent. That’s a good thing. And help facilitate that end of it. But say violence is not going to be tolerated and to prevent it there will be a midnight curfew or 11 p.m. and enforce that. Because that’s when the trouble seems to happen.”

Huckabee added that anyone out protesting after midnight are not people who are upset about the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, “it’s people who are using this unfortunate, horrible incident just as a means to go out and justify the criminal activity.”
