Huckabee: Scarborough Should’ve Been Fired for Comments About ‘Racist’ Trump Supporters

During a Fox & Friends segment on “attacks against the right” this morning, Mike Huckabee went after MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough for his recent comments about Trump voters.

A few weeks ago, Scarborough said President Donald Trump‘s racism is pretty self-evident and said “his supporters have no excuse anymore––he is a racist, he is blatant about his racism.”

He went through a laundry list of examples of Trump’s racism and said Trump supporters can’t simply just separate themselves from that.

On Fox & Friends Weekend today, Huckabee railed against attacks on conservatives and said, “When you have anchors like Joe Scarborough saying that anyone who voted for and/or supported the President is a racist––that is a ridiculous statement on its face. He should’ve been fired for that. Certainly suspended and forced to apologize.”

He also slammed Donny Deutsch for, during a discussion on the border and family separation, comparing Trump voters to Nazis.

Huckabee said things are “truly spiraling out of control” when people start trying to “dehumanize the other side.”
