Alex Jones said on his YouTube show on Thursday that Megyn Kelly is courting him for an interview on her new NBC Sunday program.
Jones made the claim on his show with Donald Trump confidante Roger Stone, who first asked Jones “I hear that you’re going to be sitting down with Megyn Kelly?”
“She’s coming to town next week,” a blushing Jones said.
“Now that would be quite a match, Alex Jones and Megyn Kelly,” Stone said. “I know you, and I know her. I’m betting on you.”
“They’re going to be able to edit it however they want,” Jones said, “but I mean the producer was so over-the-top fake nice, ‘Oh it’s going to be wonderful, you’re going to love it!'”
“I’m not stupid,” Jones asserted.
According to Jones, Kelly also tried to butter him up: “And then Megyn’s like ‘Oh we’re going to get dinner, a nice big steak,’ and I said Megyn, you don’t like me, stop acting like it.”
Jones then admitted it was “an off-record conversation,” and said he didn’t want to get into the details.
“I just want it known, I’m not doing the interview because she’s a pretty girl, I’m doing it because I can’t be a wimp and turn it down,” Jones said.
Jones later said “I know I’m walking into a trap,” but argued his audience will understand, because “their con game doesn’t work anymore.”
The two hosts then moved on to the topic of Hillary Clinton’s health, and the video ends with Jones promoting something called Z-Shield, described as a “game-changing toxic metal and chemical defense support formula,” available on InfoWars.com.
No word yet from Kelly as to whether she plans to interview Jones for her new hour-long NBC show, which kicks off this Sunday with an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
