‘I Speak for America’: Joe Scarborough Implores Trey Gowdy to Powder His Shiny Head

The day after Rep. Trey Gowdy grilled former CIA Director John Brennan during a House Intelligence Committee hearing, Joe Scarborough had a “pro-tip” for the congressman: wear makeup.

As Wednesday’s Morning Joe panel discussed Gowdy’s showdown with Brennan over evidence of collusion between President Donald Trump’s election campaign and Russia, Scarborough provided words of advice from the polished MSNBC studio:

“Trey Gowdy, a couple pro tips. First of all, a little powder. If somebody could just get him some powder, just a little powder to put it across the top. The shine is unbelievable.”

“And I speak, actually, for America. Because that’s all people notice when you’re on TV,” Scarborough added.

Gowdy is perhaps as well known for his rhetorical showings in congressional hearings as he is for a prodigal series of shocking hairstyles. And Scarborough, a former GOP congressman turned Starbucks-toting Manhattanite, is ever the aesthete.
