Things got pretty heated on CNN earlier tonight when Sally Kohn and Donald Trump supporter Kayleigh McEnany fought over Trump vs. Hillary Clinton on women’s issues.
Following a clip of Trump saying in the 90s he would flip out if dinner wasn’t ready on time, McEnany said, “He wants to have his dinner. Hey, I think it was partly a joke.”
She argued that Trump has done great things for women his entire life and it’s “ludicrous” to say he demeans women.
Kohn jumped in to say Trump clearly doesn’t favor policies that support women, declaring, “I am so sick of the false equivalence been Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on this issue!”
McEnany pushed back and said Clinton (along with most “radical feminists”) is all about “making women victims.” Kohn cried, “[Trump] has a pattern of sexist statements and you can’t defend them!”
They fought for the rest of the segment, with McEnany saying “You’re filibustering me right now!” and Kohn said that plenty of women “are grateful for that feminist movement, but go ahead, spit in its face!”
