Ingraham Mocks CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin Over Cohen Analysis: He Should’ve Just Said, ‘Can I Buy a Vowel?’
On Friday night, Laura Ingraham took some shots at the mainstream media for their sudden change of heart on Michael Cohen.
Ingraham began by playing a montage of pundits on MSNBC and CNN referring to President Donald Trump‘s former personal lawyer as a “scumbag,” “goon,” and a “thug.”
“A thug? Then you don’t take what a thug says to heart, right?” Ingraham asked. “Well, the media would have some questions about his reliability, his credibility? No, no, no. Because what he says now has got to be right.”
She then showed some coverage of what she referred to as a “nothing” bombshell report regarding Cohen’s claim that Trump had prior knowledge of the infamous Trump Tower meeting during the 2016 election.
“Wile E. Coyote almost has The Roadrunner! ACME TNT!” Ingraham reacted. “Oh my goodness.”
The Fox News host then drew attention to CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin and his take of the latest Cohen report, posing the question if this revelation proves the Trump campaign “aid, abed, and assist” the Russians.
“‘Abet?’ We edited some of that, but ‘aid and abet.’ They said, ‘Well, Mueller has-‘ he actually said ‘Mueller has charged a conspiracy!'” Ingraham exclaimed. “He actually used those words! But everybody was like, ‘Uh, well, um, hmm,’ they can’t even figure it out!”
“I mean, God bless Jeff Toobin. I like him, but come on!” she added.”He should’ve just said, ‘Can I buy a vowel? I have no idea why this is important.'”
