Introducing The Braiser, Covering ‘The Facts, Feuds, And Food’ Of The Culinary World

We’re very excited to announce the newest member of the Abrams Media family: The Braiser, a site devoted to covering “the dynamic, buzzed about, and often controversial personalities behind the country’s biggest restaurants, cookbooks and food TV shows.” Launching officially on May 14, The Braiser will become your go-to place for news on everyone from Thomas Keller to the Barefoot Contessa.

The site will be overseen by editor-in-chief Verena von Pfetten, who will continue to lead in addition to The Braiser. “We want to be the first place fans go to for the latest on all their favorite kitchen stars,” she said. “ will cover all their projects, controversies, comings and goings, and answer burning questions like ‘Is David Chang satisfied now that he has been officially crowned the fried chicken king of late night TV?'”

We heard the site described as “Mediaite for chefs.” So does that mean we’ll be reading about debate whirling around which animals celebrity chefs may or may not have eaten on children? Will there be much digital ink spilled over this War on Macarons we keep hearing whispers about? Will foodies be called out for Direct Messaging pictures of their meals on Twitter? We can’t wait to find out.
