‘It Was Your One Job!’ Colbert Mocks GOPers For Not Honoring Their ‘Tagline’ Repeal and Replace
On Tuesday night, Stephen Colbert had some fun at Republicans’ expense over their latest failed effort to repeal and replace Obamacare.
“It was your one job!” he shouted. “It’s your tagline! It’s your motto! It’s Paul Ryan‘s tramp stamp!”
The Late Show host mocked President Trump‘s Rose Garden premature celebration of the House passing its version of the bill, comparing it to President Lyndon B. Johnson‘s “Victory in Vietnam Luau.”
He then ridiculed Trump for tweeting the following:
As I have always said, let ObamaCare fail and then come together and do a great healthcare plan. Stay tuned!

“Because repealing your health care is the hottest new reality show, No Survivor,” he responded
Colbert noted that when Republicans knew that President Obama would veto any bill that repealed Obamacare, they voted more than 60 times anyway.
“But now they can actually do it, they don’t have the balls!” he exclaimed. “All those times they voted, they must have just been yanking on their own lever. But now when they have a Republican president, they can’t get their vote up!”
The late-night host slammed President Trump’s “math” for calling a 48-4 vote “impressive.”
“That adds up to 52, not 100!” he reacted. “You just ignored all the Democratic votes!” He then compared such logic to removing the iceberg from the Titanic.
Colbert further mentioned the Fox News chyron that read: “Eventually, We Will Get Something Done.”
“Once again, it’s time to update the hat,” he quipped.
