Jake Tapper to Spicer: If You Object to ‘Ban’ Label, ‘You Shouldn’t Use It’

CNN’s Jake Tapper got just a teensy bit snarky today responding to Sean Spicer disputing the “ban” label applied to President Trump‘s executive order.

Spicer today said that the only reason Trump used the word himself was because the media said it first and he was just going off their phrasing. But as Tapper pointed out, Spicer himself used the word both on Sunday and last night.

“If you object to the term,” Tapper asked, “you shouldn’t use it, right?”

He concluded thusly:

“Okay, everybody clear now? Nobody should follow the lead of the biased media and call the executive action a ban. Instead, follow the White House and call it… a ban.”
