Jeb Bush: I Won’t Throw My Brother Under the Bus ‘To Make Myself Look Better’
One of the big things Jeb Bush will have to keep dealing with during the 2016 campaign is the decisions his brother made in the office he’s now running for. Bush has attempted a delicate dance in saying he doesn’t want to criticize his brother George W. Bush, especially when it comes to Iraq.
On ABC News’ World News Tonight this evening, Bush again addressed the matter with David Muir, saying “When you love someone or your brother or your dad, it’s not easy for me to throw them under the bus to make myself look better. I just can’t do that.”
When Muir asked Bush about whether his brother would campaign for him, Bush said he’d welcome his brother’s help but didn’t provide any definitive details about the former president stumping for him.
