Jesse Watters on Trump-Bashing Emmys: Hollywood May Be ‘Setting Up a Reelection Victory’

The Five did not seem particularly impressed when they discussed all the slams against President Trump during the 2017 Emmy Awards.

After reviewing the highlights from the evening, Jesse Watters wondered if all the “out-of-touch celebrities” were inadvertently “setting up a reelection victory for President Trump.” Greg Gutfeld thought the real takeaway was that Trump is “funnier” than the stale jokes made at his expense last night.

“When I watched that, you don’t have a natural laugh, when you’re watching it,” said Gutfeld. “It’s kind of like they are soothing their wounds.”

Gutfeld also found it interesting that The Handmaid’s Tale won as much as it did last night when their commentary about dystopian societies might be more appropriately applied to oppressive Islamic countries.
