Today on CNN’s The Lead, Sarah Palin was asked by Jake Tapper about her choice to bring Ted Nugent and Kid Rock to the White House.
“Jesus was booked!” she quipped.
Since Palin campaigned for President Trump last year, it wasn’t surprising to see her at the White House buddying up to him or joking around next to a portrait of his campaign rival Hillary Clinton.
What was surprising, of course, was the presence of Nugent and Kid Rock — just ask the Twitterverse. Though both expressed support for the real estate mogul-turned-politician in the past, they’re not the first names that spring to mind at the mention of “White House get-together.”
“President Trump had called to invite — just to touch base – asked me to get to DC and we’d be able to chat over dinner and asked if I’d invite a couple of friends,” she explained.
She had nothing but kind words for the rockers, describing them as “bold, courageous, All-American dudes.”
During that same interview with Tapper, Palin danced around the questions of if she was ever harassed or saw harassment happening during her time at Fox News. Though the topic is extremely hot in the wake of Bill O’Reilly‘s ousting, she wasn’t quite willing to disparage her former network.
