Jimmy Fallon Reunites the Cast of Full House to Teach Donald Trump a Lesson in Humility
Complete with 90’s catchphrases and all of the inside references that fans of the sitcom Full House could want, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon staged a reunion with several of the original castmembers Tuesday night. And playing the role of Michelle Tanner was none other than Donald Trump — at least, Fallon’s version of him.
In today’s episode, baby Trump is upset about losing the Iowa Caucus, and is worried that losing in South Carolina will inevitably “make him a loser”. Cue the entrance of not one, not two, but seven Full House actors to convince Donald that no matter what, he’s already a winner to them.
“Watch the hair, huh?” Trump shoots off at Uncle Jesse, played by John Stamos. He was joined in the Tonight Show sketch by Full House patriarch Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Candice Cameron-Blue, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin, and Andrea Barber.
At the sketch’s pivotal moment of truth — parodying the years of lessons taught to the girls of the original Full House series — Uncle Jesse imparts this bit of wisdom with the grumpy Trumpy:
“See Donald, that’s just it. I mean, if you really want to make America great again, you have to bring people together, not push them apart. Now we may have our disagreements from time to time but at the end of the day we all love each other. That’s what family’s about and goshdarnit, that’s what America’s about.”
