Joe Scarborough Mocks ‘Desperate’ Giuliani For Saying He’s Smarter Than MSNBC Host

Joe Scarborough is still going after Rudy Giuliani and he clearly doesn’t care if the former New York mayor-turned-Trump lawyer fires back.

Morning Joe took time on Thursday to pour through the latest news about Michael Cohen‘s lobbying income and alleged involvement in pay-to-play access to President Trump. Giuliani has said that Trump was “unaware” of his personal lawyer’s consulting payments, and when Mika Brzezinski brought this up, she noted that Giuliani recently hit back at Scarborough after the MSNBC host called him erratic and a drinker.

“He was very angry,” Brzezinski said. “He said he’s smarter than you.”

“I’m a lot more aware and intelligent than Joe has ever been, and a lot more accomplished,” Giuliani said in response to Scarborough’s remarks. “Joe hasn’t been knighted by the Queen of England. He hasn’t run a US attorney’s office, much less a city that he turned around, or went through 9/11.”

Scarborough sarcastically responded on Thursday: “I think Willie [Geist] and I were knighted by the Queen of England. We can’t remember, 1987 was a haze.”

“Can I just say this about Rudy? There’s something about him and Trump,” he said. “They go around talking about how intelligent they are. And how smart they are.”

“It’s like a big sports car,” Brzezinski interjected.

“Have you ever known people so desperate to go around and talk about how smart they are,” Scarborough continued. “I’ve never met anybody…if I heard somebody and they told me how intelligent they were, I would probably fire them right there on the spot. Who does that?”

Geist snarked that he keeps his SAT scores with him at all times, but he doesn’t show them off.
