Joe Scarborough on Giuliani Getting Booed at Yankees Game: ‘Shattering’ his ‘Great Legacy’
Joe Scarborough declared on Tuesday that Rudy Giuliani‘s public legacy is deteriorating because of his work for President Donald Trump.
Giuliani came up as Morning Joe addressed news that the former New York mayor was booed loudly at Yankee Stadium while he attending a game yesterday. Scarborough took this as striking evidence that Giuliani has undermined his image as “America’s mayor” by acting as Trump’s legal pitbull.
“He had a great legacy in this city,” Scarborough said, “but you see him on TV everyday and he’s just shattering it every single day.”
Willie Geist seconded the point by saying Giuliani used to be a respected U.S. attorney before he started attacking the FBI and the Justice Department on Trump’s behalf. Scarborough concluded the segment by lamenting Giuliani’s latest statements as confirmation of Trump’s efforts to derail Robert Mueller‘s investigation.
