During his interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell today, Secretary of State John Kerry briefly addressed Russian interference into the U.S. election and said it had a “profound impact on our system.”
Kerry said the intrusion “invaded the space of our election” and that “the releasing on a regular basis of one party’s stolen emails had an impact.”
“It’s a new form of political engagement that we all need to be extremely wary of,” he added, “and we need to find new methods of protection and new ways of fighting back against it.”
A report out today says that the U.S. plans to announce as soon as tomorrow the retaliatory action they’ll be taking against Russia.
