John Lewis: I Don’t See Trump as a ‘Legitimate President’

Congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis doesn’t consider Donald Trump to be a “legitimate president.”

In a preview clip of Lewis’ Meet the Press interview Sunday, Chuck Todd asked about if he’s going to try and “forge a relationship with Trump.”

Lewis said it would be difficult for him because, he explained, “I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president.”

Todd asked him to elaborate and Lewis said, “”I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.”

Lewis also made it clear he doesn’t plan to attend the inauguration, joining a growing list of Democrats also planning to do so.
