John Oliver: Stephen Miller’s ‘Truly One of the Most Revolting Humans I’ve Ever Seen’
On Sunday night, John Oliver ripped White House advisor Stephen Miller for dismissing the Statue of Liberty poem.
He started off his attacks by mercilessly comparing him to the minions of the Despicable Me franchise.
“You might well think, ‘That’s unfair. Anyone can find a photo of someone looking a bit like a minion.’ But with Miller, it’s genuinely hard to find a photo of him not looking like a minion,” he quipped.
He then slammed Miller for saying that the Statue of Liberty poem was “added later.”
“Just because it wasn’t a part of the original does not mean it is worthless. Some of the best things ever made were changed halfway through,” he reacted. He then invoked the addition of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to the Fast & Furious franchise to prove his point.
The Last Week Tonight host took a shot at Miller for looking older than his age (“31 human years old!”), which he noted was the same age as the Olsen Twins.
Oliver then played an old clip of Miller apparently running for student government in high school in which he said this:
“Am I the only one who is sick and tired of being told to pick up my trash when we have plenty of janitors who are paid to do it for us?”
“Wow,” Oliver reacted. “He is truly one of the most truly revolting humans– parentheses minions– I have ever seen.”
Noting the report that Miller may be filling in the vacant White House Communications Director position, which was left behind by Anthony Scaramucci last Monday, Oliver can understand why he’s being considered for the job.
“In a way, there is no more fitting spokesman for the Trump administration than an entitled elitist asshole who refuses to take responsibility for the messes he makes and who can somehow manage to pick a fight with a fucking statue.”
